Standard Policy and Disclaimer

1.Purpose of this document

The terms and conditions set out the contract. This document is the plainer companion to it: what Sixstarlimo does, what it does not do, and which things nobody in road transportation can promise.

Where this document and the terms and conditions differ, the terms and conditions prevail.

2.Sixstarlimo is an intermediary

Sixstarlimo takes booking requests, coordinates them, and assigns them to independent professional chauffeurs and licensed transportation companies. Those partners own and operate the vehicles and hold their own licensing, permits and insurance.

This means, in practice:

• The chauffeur who arrives is not a Sixstarlimo employee, and the vehicle is not a Sixstarlimo vehicle.
• The partner is responsible for how the journey is driven and for the roadworthy condition of the vehicle.
• Sixstarlimo is responsible for the booking and coordination service: taking your requirements accurately, assigning them to a suitable partner, confirming what has been agreed, and passing on the details the partner needs.

We are direct about this because it affects who you should approach when something goes wrong. In the first instance, contact Sixstarlimo with your booking reference. We will investigate with the partner and respond.

3.Quotes, availability and confirmation

Nothing on this website constitutes a binding offer of transportation. Submitting a journey creates a request. A reservation exists only once Sixstarlimo has confirmed a vehicle category and price to you and you have accepted it.

Vehicle categories describe a class of vehicle with a stated passenger and luggage capacity, illustrated by example models. They are not a promise of a specific make, model, colour, year or registration. Your journey is fulfilled with a vehicle of the confirmed category or better.

Service coverage described on location and airport pages reflects where we accept requests, not a guarantee that a vehicle is available in that place at any given time. Availability is confirmed per journey.

4.Timing and road conditions

Journey durations depend on traffic, weather, roadworks, closures and events, none of which are under our control or the chauffeur’s. We plan journeys with reasonable allowance for typical conditions, but a stated duration is an estimate and not a guaranteed arrival time.

If you are travelling to a flight, a sailing or another fixed deadline, allow more time than the journey nominally requires, and tell us the deadline when you book so it can be planned for. We will advise on timing if you ask, but the decision on how much margin to allow is yours.

5.Flight information

Where you give us a flight number, it is passed to the assigned chauffeur so the pickup can be planned around the actual arrival rather than the schedule. Flight status information originates with airlines and airports; it can be incomplete or delayed, and we do not warrant its accuracy. Keeping us informed of significant changes to your travel remains the best safeguard.

6.Safety and refusal of service

A chauffeur may decline to begin or continue a journey where doing so would be unsafe or unlawful, including where passenger numbers or luggage exceed the vehicle’s capacity, where required child restraints are not available, where conditions on the route are dangerous, or where a passenger’s behaviour puts people at risk.

Where a journey is refused or ended for one of these reasons, the treatment of any charge is [position on refused journeys to be confirmed].

7.Personal property

Luggage and personal items travel at your own risk. If you leave something behind, contact us with your booking reference and we will make reasonable efforts to contact the chauffeur partner and help recover it. We cannot guarantee recovery, we do not store items on your behalf, and any costs of returning an item are [lost property return arrangements to be confirmed].

8.Insurance

Chauffeur partners are required to hold the commercial insurance appropriate to passenger transport in the jurisdiction where they operate, and this is verified as part of joining the network.

Sixstarlimo does not state that it holds any particular insurance cover of its own. What cover the platform carries, and what it responds to, is [Sixstarlimo’s own insurance position to be confirmed] and must not be represented to customers before it is verified. The division of insurance responsibility is described in the driver & affiliate liability and insurance policy.

9.Website content

We take care to keep this website accurate, but content is provided for general information. Photography is illustrative of the standard of service and vehicle category rather than a depiction of the specific vehicle assigned to a booking.

Where we deliberately do not publish something (terminal pickup points, fixed fares, guaranteed journey times, partner earnings), it is because that information changes or cannot be stated accurately, not because it has been overlooked.

Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content.

10.Limits of this disclaimer

Nothing in this document excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in it affects rights you have as a consumer that cannot be contracted out of.

A disclaimer does not, by itself, transfer responsibility away from Sixstarlimo for the service Sixstarlimo actually provides. This document describes the division of roles; it is not an attempt to disclaim our own obligations, and the enforceable extent of any limitation is [liability position to be settled on legal advice].

11.Raising something with us

If a journey did not go as it should have, contact us with your booking reference as soon as possible. Details fade and vehicle records are not kept indefinitely, so early contact gives us the best chance of establishing what happened.
